Optimize operational processes and enable TV, radio and press managers to make quick and better informed business decisions about their media companies is what GSoft supports with GMedia software.
GSoft solutions are being implemented with success on TV and radio channels in Portugal and in Angola at RTP, SIC, Sport TV, TPA, TVC, TV ZIMBO, Rádio Renascença and TSF. Focusing exclusively on media industry, GSoft is deepening on clients’ needs and more and more on a complex and in change industry. Consequently, GSoft solutions aim to provide structure, functionality and flexibility to attend to all challenges in this industry.
“GSoft has all the conditions in favor, for a successful internationalization process”, said Abcasis Soares, the manager of internationalization at the company – “With: World-class software solutions, focused at leveraging productivity and profitability at TV stations (which is exactly what the market needs right now); a very sound value proposition and a network of highly specialized local dealers.”
Following careful analysis of its products, destination markets and opportunities, GSoft has decided to start the internationalization process with GMediaPlan, based on the increase demand for this kind of solutions worldwide. GMediaPlan has several successful implementations in Portugal and Angola, being responsible for managing all the production projects at RTP (more than 700 users) with more than 2000 hours of production per month.
Once a company attains a hegemonic position in the domestic market, the obvious solution for growth is through internationalization.” – added José Abecasis Soares
Analysis of international competition expansion patterns and privileged access to potencial clients and partners, determined the choice of Brazil as one of the destination markets for 2011. GSoft is still considering entering a second market in 2011, pending further analysis of several variables.
“International expansion is in our plans for several years now, but we chose to postpone it until we felt all the conditions were in place to guaranty the success of this challenge.” – said Carlos Santos, GSoft’s CEO – “Our position is consolidated in the domestic market, the product is matured and fine-tuned, and our teams are fully aligned with the internationalization strategy.”
GSoft has decided in the internationalization process to prioritize African countries whose official language is portuguese (PALOP) as well as Brazil. As reasons GSoft presents communication, software and supporting material in portuguese language. According to Carlos Santos, the solutions presented are deployed to the company workflow, once they involve many people inside. If we have the software in portuguese, more workers will understand and the implementation will run without obstacles. “Meanwhile at the beginning of 2010, we’ve been placing our multilingual applications and we’ve been writing all communication materials in english”.
The company is setting up all communication and marketing material, and will soon start establishing partnership and dealer agreements abroad.
Following internationalization process and consequent brasilian market launch, GSoft will exhibit at SET Broadcast & Cale, the biggest Tv, Radio and telco engineering summit of Latin America, between August 23rd and 25th August.
GSoft will be at the booth (E8) of prestigious local distributer LineUp, GSoft exclusive partner for the brazilian market.
